(Interfax) - Identical Stone Age settlements have been
unearthed near Novopetrovka in the Amur region in the Russian
Far East, and on an island off South Korea.
Archaeologists of the two countries
revealed in an exchange of scientific information that
"identical labor, hunting and household tools and jewelry"
have been found in the Neolithic sites, Prof. Boris Sapunov
from the History Department of Blagoveshchensk Pedagogical
University told Interfax on Monday.
He said joint archaeological research
will be undertaken. A team of South Korean archaeologists will
come to the Amur region in June 2003, to take part in
